Monika Herzig's experience at the Erasmus+in Spain

Monika Herzig participated in an Erasmus staff training from February 27 to March 2, 2025, as part of the AEC Jazz and Pop Platform in Pamplona, Spain. During the event, she presented the Creative EU project New Standards for Europe. The three-day program offered a rich variety of workshops, presentations, and concerts. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on jazz and popular music pedagogy. Monika had the opportunity to connect with fellow educators and artists from across Europe. The exchange of ideas sparked inspiration for future teaching approaches and collaborations. As part of the training, she also took part in a jazz workshop at Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid. This hands-on session provided valuable insights into jazz education practices. Overall, the experience was enriching both professionally and personally. Monika returned with new perspectives and ideas to implement in her own teaching.
