Music in the Woods participant Chovo wins the 22nd Protest Song Contest

The 22nd edition of the Protest Song Contest has concluded, and the winner of the evening is Chovo. The talented R’n’B singer took home the prize with her song „Jedermann“, which critically addresses patriarchal structures. Our community knows Chovo rom her participation at Music in the Woods in autumn 2024.

Chovo triumphed with 13 points, securing the top spot ahead of the second-place song. Her track was among the three highest-rated of the evening, according to both the jurors and the audience. This year’s contest focused on issues such as patriarchy and the rise of fascism, reflecting the current global political climate. Her victory at the Protest Song Contest now marks a great milestone in her emerging career.
