JAM and ÖPUK congratulates Eva-Maria Holzleitner, the new Minister of Science
On behalf of Austria’s 19 private universities and higher education institutions, the Austrian Private Universities Conference (ÖPUK) congratulates Eva-Maria Holzleitner on her inauguration.
ÖPUK looks forward to working together with the new Minister of Science and Research to further develop Austria as a center for research and education. Education, research, and innovation, along with broad public access to them, are essential for ensuring lasting peace and prosperity in Austria.
"The interaction between different higher education sectors, the establishment of legal frameworks ensuring freedom in teaching, research, science, and the arts, as well as the provision of high-quality, independent education at an international level, can only be shaped through ongoing dialogue. This is crucial for Austria to remain internationally competitive and attractive to students, researchers, and academics from around the world. We look forward to this dialogue with the new federal minister and wish her all the best in her new role," said ÖPUK Chairman Martin Rummel.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Minister for Science and Research, Austria’s private universities and higher education institutions anticipate a strengthening of the country's educational landscape.
