LMN Unisono 2024

In 2014, the educational project Live Music Now-Unisono was invented, inspired by the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: "Music is the universal language of mankind." Now it finds its continuation

yehudiThis project provides young individuals with the opportunity to learn how to navigate cultural diversity and break down prejudices. Live Music Now, in collaboration with music universities (JML, mdw, MUK und die Haydn Musikhochschule in Eisenstadt.) and social institutions, volunteers to offer free, high-quality instrumental lessons for disadvantaged individuals, currently focusing mainly on those with refugee experiences.

Concert performance students gain teaching experience with the support of professors, while education students deepen their teaching practices. All students are encouraged to take on self-responsibility, engage in charitable activities, and contribute to social and cultural integration. Live Music Now issues certificates of recognition for these efforts.

Once a year, there is an international session with UNHCR organized. We also provide musical instruments on a semester basis when needed. Sustainability is a key focus of this project, aligning with Yehudi Menuhin's vision of integrating disadvantaged individuals.
