Improvisation
Bachelor of Arts in Music Education
The Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with Improvisation as the main subject is a unique and innovative education and training in the teaching of improvisation, particularly in the styles of Jazz and Popular Music. Improvisation, much like composition, is taught as an independent musical creative process and as a central subject. Specific to your own individual talents and pursued specialisation, you will have acquired an accomplished sense of professionalism in your craft on completing your BA studies. You will also have the ability to independently develop artistic concepts as well as their performance, production, communication and distribution. Your learning engagements consist of weekly lessons and lectures in the main subject, as well as in compulsory and free-choice electives: Stage Bands, Rhythmical Training, Music Theory, Music Business and more.
If you can sing it, you can play it.
