Peter Puskás

Artistic Major(s): Arts Management

Born in Vienna, Peter Puskás received his first musical education and formative experiences with the Vienna Boys Choir and as child actor at the Vienna Burgtheater. Studying piano at the Vienna Conservatoire (Konservatorium der Stadt Wien), led to a special interest in working for large scale opera productions as repetiteur, assistant director and stage manager  (Wagner Festival Wels, Salzburg Festival), collaborating also for several years with stage designer Günther Schneider Siemssen.



Moving to London in 2005, Peter worked for several Classical Music Video on Demand outlets as programm manager and program director, before joining the London Music Team of Arts Council England. In that capacity, Peter was managing the public funding relationship with London based National Portfolio Organisations (London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment) and other grant applicants. Peter set up his artist management and consultancy business in 2012, specialising in tailored career management and consultancy services across the sector. Cooperation partners include among others Universal Edition, Boosey & Hawkes, Alban Berg Foundation, SONY, Deutsche Grammophon, Vienna State Opera, Salzburg Festival, Southbank Centre, Philharmonia Orchestra, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and others. Peter is regularly invited for guest lectures on Music and Cultural Management at European Universities. In a voluntary capacity, Peter is currently a board member of the English Touring Opera and acting as consultant for several arts organisations across Europe. Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
