Constanze Müller elected new Vice Rector for Diversity & Organization at JAM MUSIC LAB

At the proposal of the rector, the authorized signatory and previous administrative director of JAM MUSIC LAB GmbH was unanimously elected by the Senate and University Council and thus completes the rectorate as the governing body of the university since June 27, 2022.

Until her move to JAM MUSIC LAB GmbH in 2021, Dr. Constanze Müller had been the administrative director of the "Orchesterzentrum NRW" in Germany, a joint training institution of the four state music colleges in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, since 2016. The musicologist, who studied in Leipzig and Berlin and earned her doctorate at Humboldt University in Berlin, has another professional focus in ballet.

After writing her dissertation on the Ballets Russes, she worked for several years in dramaturgy and production for the ballet divisions of the Theater Kiel as well as the "Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg". For six years she also worked for the "Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival" in the artistic operations office.

"I am delighted about the trust that Marcus Ratka, the Senate and the University Council have placed in my work. From an organizational point of view, my goal is to improve the conditions of all university members and thereby give artistic development and high-quality teaching and research their space. An outstanding characteristic of JMLU is its openness to a wide variety of artistic ideas and the creative minds that develop them. Therefore, we anchor the topic of diversity structurally and in terms of content at the university, and I am looking forward to now representing this topic for the JAM MUSIC LAB Private University."

Congratulations to our new Vice Rector!
